Wanda Rae (Roush) Jacobs

Wanda Rae Jacobs, 83, of Florence Kentucky, passed away Monday, September 19, 2022, in Florence, KY, with her son and daughter by her side. She was born on September 7, 1939 in Portland, OH.  She was the daughter of the late Ray Roush and Garnet Cozart-Roush. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Roush.

In addition to being a 30-year military spouse, she also worked in the banking industry for over 30 years. She was always up for an adventure and traveled throughout the world during their time in the military and later with her son’s and daughter’s families.  She loved to play games of all kinds – especially bingo and her afternoon card games.

She was married to her husband of fifty-one years, the late CMSgt Steven L. “Jake” Jacobs who preceded her in death on May 1, 2009.

She is survived by her daughter, Terrol Lieberum (Donald), of Florence, KY; her son, Jeffrey Jacobs (Kathy), of Cocoa, FL. Seven grandchildren; Dr. Jennifer Jacobs (Dan Holtslander), Watkinsville, GA; Joseph Jacobs (Tammy), Orlando, FL; Julie Newbury (Nick), Watkinsville, GA; David Lieberum (Ida), Lakeland, FL; Christopher Lieberum, Sandy Hook, KY; Korey Jacobs, Cocoa, FL; A1C Kayli Jacobs (Melisa), of Washington, D.C. Twelve great-grandchildren; Elle Newbury, Evie Newbury, Noah Newbury, Emme Newbury, Hana Jacobs, Evan Jacobs, Owen Holtslander, Liam Holtslander, Bryson Stamper, Alex Lieberum, Luna Lieberum, and Jake Lieberum.

Friends and family visitation will be at the funeral home starting at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2022 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Racine, OH. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., Pastor Duke Holbert will officiate. Interment will follow at the Letart Falls Cemetery.
