Phyllis C. (Adams) O'Brien

Phyllis C. O’Brien, 87, a longtime resident of the Letart Falls Community, passed away at 12:52 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2024, at her residence. Born March 6, 1937, in Letart Falls, she was the daughter of the late Marshall “Bob” and Florence Mae Norris Adams. She was a homemaker and attended the Antiquity Baptist Church.

Phyllis married Ralph Larry O’Brien on November 6, 1959 in Letart Falls and he preceded her in death on July 12, 2021.

She is survived by her children, Jim O’Brien, of Racine, Linda (Dale) Teaford, of Portland and Carol (Kelvin Hoover) Pape, of Racine, grandchildren, Dale (Andrea) Teaford, Derek (Cecilia) Teaford, Darin (Michelle Hunt) Teaford, Lindsay (D.W.) Mahan, Josh (Ashley) Pape, Chelsea (Johnny) Holsinger, Adam Pape, Jamie (Keith Dywer) O’Brien, and Erin Castor. Great-grandchildren, Ranger Blackston, Ember Mahan, Ceda Mahan, Freya Teaford, Wyatt Teaford, Shay Holsinger, Arly Holsinger, Mackenna Castor, Trenton Owens, Emma Owens, Cadie Stewart, and Lexi Stewart, a sister-in-law, Nancy Rawlings, and a special sister, Aldena Taylor, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Phyllis was preceded in death by her  brother, Raymond F. Adams, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rex and Mary O’Brien, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, June and Paul Eichinger and brother-in-law, John Rawlings.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Racine, with Rev. Larry Fisher officiating. Interment will follow in the Letart Falls Cemetery, Racine. Friends may call from 6-8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Shrivers Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to their mother and a very special thank you to Andrea Teaford, who went above and beyond to care for Phyllis.
