Madelyn Adkins

Madelyn Adkins, 64, of Bidwell and formerly of Hamlin, West Virginia passed away, on Monday, June 13, 2022 at her daughters’ residence. Born September 1, 1957 in Hamlin, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Pauline Egnor Adkins. She was a retired home care giver and CNA for Genesis Elder Care.

She is survived by her sons, Stacy (Priscilla) Adkins, Preston (Jenny) Breedlove, daughters, Christina (Danford Smith) Taylor, and Shelly Breedlove. Seventeen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, four brothers, seven sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Andrew Shannon Breedlove, two granddaughters, Carrie Roselma Woodrum, and Savannah Adkins, and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022 in the Ethel United Baptist Church, Scary Creek Rd. Sweetland, West Virginia 25523 with Pastor Chase Thompson officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to at the Church. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis is entrusted with the arrangements.
