Joseph Allen Thompson

Joseph Allen Thompson, 60, of Bidwell, passed away, unexpectedly, on Friday, May 28, 2021 in the Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. Born February 21, 1961 in New London, Connecticut he was the son of the late Joseph Lynn and Dorthy Theresa Matuezwicz Thompson. He was an over the road owner operator truck driver for Cardinal Transport and a 1980 graduate of Buckeye Hills Career Center.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Northup, sons, Kevin (Chelsea) Thompson, of Charleston, WV., and J.D. (Heather) Thompson, of Point Pleasant, WV., children, Jason (Destiny) Northup, of Bidwell, Shaun (Lindsey) Northup, of Gallipolis, Brian (Becky) Northup, of Ashland, Ky., Melissa (Robert) Hall, of Gallipolis, and Jessica Moore, of Milton, Oh., he was a proud grandpa of twenty four grandchildren, Bella, Maci, Claire, Jake, Abby, Jacelynn, Hayley, Natalie, Bailey, Haven, Mia, Oliver, Nora, Oliver, Ryan, Gage, Carson, Jazmine, Kelsey, Zoe (Levi) Anderson, Seth, Samantha, and Sarah. A brother, Al (Susan) Thompson, sisters, Theresa (Paul) Delamerance, Wendy (Todd) Hamilton, and Cassandra, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

There will be no calling hours nor funeral services. Cremation services are entrusted to the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis.
