Chrystal Mayhone

Chrystal Mayhone, 34, of Bidwell, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at her residence. Born October 24, 1985 in Huntington, West Virginia she was the daughter of the Late Sherri Dawn Simpkins Mayhone.

Chrystal was a compassionate Spirit whose passion was caring for others; she had a very infectious laugh and she knew how to brighten people’s day. She was beautiful, smart, funny, kind, caring, and loving. She loved helping people and taking care of them. She would do anything for anybody and was the first one to have her hand out to help someone up. She gave even when she had nothing to give.

She is survived by her daughter that was her pride and joy and the “prettiest girl mommy knows’, Whittlynn Yvonne Whobrey, whom she loved more than anything else on this Earth. A sister, Christina Mayhone and husband, Demetrius, father of her daughter, Travis Whobrey. Nephew, Quentin, nieces, Mykia, and Keyonah, aunt’s, Teresa J. Angell, Shannon Saunders, and Family Hailey, Dakota, Lindsey Saunders and Craig Dalton, uncles JD Simpkins, and her cousins Leah Angell, Charlie Angel, Kara Angell, and many more also survive.

Chrystal was loved by everyone and will be missed more than words can say.

In addition to her mother she is preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Awilda Simpkins, and a nephew Keyondre J. Thomas.

A memorial graveside service will be held in Barton Chapel Cemetery, Apple Grove, West Virginia at a later date. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis, is entrusted with the arrangements.
