Brian K. Smeck

Brian Keith Smeck, 61, Antiquity community, passed away at 11:35 A.M. Friday, June 25, 2021 in the Holzer Meigs Emergency Department. We have lost a loving husband, son, father, brother and grandfather who loved his family dearly. His sons always knew they could come to him for life advice or help with their projects. He did everything in his power to care for his family and loved ones in every way he could. Brian was born in Lancaster, Ohio on September 19, 1959. He was raised in Pataskala, Ohio and attended Licking Heights High School and graduated in 1979. Brian was partial to the older ‘good” country music. Anything that was newer, was “just not country music”. He was a proud mechanic who specialized in semi-trailer repair at Belt Transfer Inc. and Red Rollen Garage. He continued to work on cars as a hobby at his home in Antiquity.

Brian is survived by his wife of 32 years, Linda J. Kelly Smeck, two sons, Andrew Keith Smeck, of Racine and Dustin Lee (Katy) Smeck of Senecaville, Ohio, his mother and step-father, Sharon and Wes Palm, of Lockbourne, Ohio, two granddaughters, Melody Krysta “Songbird” Smeck and Jeanette Marie “Wiggly Worm” Smeck, brothers, Brandon (Louanne) Smeck, of Pomeroy, Shawn (Shelly) Palm, of Lockbourne, Ohio, and Page Palm, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Two nieces also survive, Stacy Smeck and Bayleigh Palm as well as a great-niece, Piper Smeck, along with many friends that were dear to Brian.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 2, 2021 at the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Racine. Officiating will be Rev. Chad Dodson. Interment will be in the Letart Falls Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
