Harriet Anna (Jones) Davison

Harriet Anna (Jones) Davison age 99, went to be with her Lord on Monday, October 29, 2018 at her daughter’s residence. Harriet was born January 7, 1919 in Annapolis, Maryland to the late Timothy and Hortense (Miller) Jones. She was the last and youngest surviving child of a family of 7 children, and the only girl. She married James L. Davison on May 2, 1942 in Hopewell, New Jersey and he preceded her in death on November 17, 2010. They had 12 children. In addition to her husband Harriet is preceded in death by, her son, James Davison, Jr, son-in-law, Rick Mershon, and grandson, Brooks Davison, a great grandson, Clayton Stapleton, anda  great granddaughter, Vivienne Epling.

Harriet is survived by her late son’s widow, Jean (Conely) Davison, sons, Larry & Doris (Olheiser) Davison, Bruce & Jan (Grable) Davison, Greg & Patricia (Dobbins) Davison, Father Tim Davison, Patrick & Tammi (Stewart) Davison, and Chris Davison. Her daughters, Sandy Mershon, Kathy (Ravi) Kamath, Merry (Jack) Stapleton, Karen (John) Stapleton, and Loretta (Spencer) Williams, and several grandchildren.

Calling hours are Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 3:00-5:00 at St. Louis Catholic Church and Hall in Gallipolis, Ohio. The Rosary will follow at 5:00. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Father Thomas Hamm and Father Timothy Davison will officiate. The family will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Friday morning at the Church. Interment will follow in the Catholic Cemetery on State Route 141. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis, is entrusted with the arrangements.
